Fijai United Soccer Academy ease past Nzema Kotoko to secure next round qualification

Division Two side, Fijai United Soccer Academy have secured a qualification to the next round of the MTN FA Cup after beating Nzema Kotoko in the round 64 clash on Friday.

The Fijai-based club defeated Nzema Kotoko 2:1 at the St Martin’s Park in Daboase in the Western Region to grab a qualification to the round 32 of the competition.

Goals from Samuel Adu-Amponsah and the talented goal monger Obed Yankey ensured Fijai United Soccer Academy amass victory against Nzema Kotoko in Daboase.

Fijai United Soccer Academy have to comeback from a goal down to secure an important win against the Nzema-based club.

Michael Yeboah broke the deadlock for Nzema Kotoko in the 25th minute before Samuel Adu-Amponsah beautifully snatched the parity for Fijai United Soccer Academy in the 52nd minute.

Fijai United Soccer Academy kept on pressuring Nzema Kotoko for the second goal, creating series of chances until Obed Yankey netted the winning goal in the 75th minute of the crucial encounter.

At the end of the game, David Dzakpasu was named the man-of-the-match while the highly-talented Samuel Adu-Amponsah went home with the most promising player award.

Fijai United Soccer Academy have joined the likes of Skyy FC, Asante Kotoko, Bechem United who have secured a qualification to the next round of the competition.
