Head Coach of Western Region-based Division Two League side, Tarkwa Barcelona FC has resigned from his post, Getsportsgh.com can confirm.
Kwadwo Safo, who until his resignation also doubled as the Technical Director of the club says the end of his chapter with the club was due.
His decision, we understand arrived two weeks ago following the club’s friendly game against Aboi Young Stars at the famous Akoon Park.
According to Mr. Safo, the decision stems from “personal reasons” thus, ending his stay with the fast-rising team barely five years.
He joined Tarkwa Barcelona FC in 2019 and led them to the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) Super Middle League in 2021/22.
His handwriting on the team manifested during the same football season and managed to qualify the team for the preliminary stage of the MTN FA Cup.
Kwadwo Safo fast forwards in the 22/23 season again qualified the team for the WRFA Super Middle League playoff final only to suffer defeat at the hands of the reigning champion of the region, Rospak Sporting Club.
