Asante Kotoko threaten to report Al Ahly to FIFA; Check reason

Asante Kotoko to drag Al Ahly to FIFA

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have reportedly threatened to report Libyan powerhouse Al Ahly to FIFA over the transfer of midfielder Richard Boadu.

Boadu joined the Libyan heavyweight on a permanent deal from Asante Kotoko in July, 2023 after a splendid form in the Ghana Premier League.

The highly-talented midfielder has started playing for Al Ahly but the Libyan club is yet to pay the transfer fee of the player.

Per report reaching the desk of Getsportsgh.com, Asante Kotoko have given Al Ahly up till Friday, September 1, 2023 to make the payment or report them to the world football governing body.

We understand Medeama SC will get about forty percent of the transfer fee and have written to Asante Kotoko demanding their percentage.

Richard Boadu, popularly known as Agadas signed for Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2021/22 season from Medeama SC and helped them end the club’s eight-year trophy drought by winning the Ghana Premier League.

He was very influential for Asante Kotoko and was named the captain of the team after the departure of defender Abdul Ganiyu.

Boadu played 30 matches for Asante Kotoko in last season’s Ghana Premier League campaign, scoring two goals.
