Medeama's Jonathan Sowah to miss CR Belouizdad clash

Medeama SC forward , Jonathan Sowah has been ruled out of CR Belouizdad clash in the CAF Champions League due to accumulated cards.

The Ghana champions face CR Belouizdad in the second group stage fixture in the CAF Champions League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Sowah has been very influential since joining Medeama last season and his absence in the crucial game against CR Belouizdad comes as huge blow to the Yellow and Mauves.

The 24- year old has so far bagged 18 goals in 33 matches for Medeama since making his debut last year. He has 6 goals in 13 games in the current campaign including two in the Champions League.

Sowah is expected to return in the next home fixture against Tanzanian giants Young Africans at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Even though Sowah will be missing the CR Belouizdad game, Medeama SC are expected to defeat the Algerian giants to boost confidence.

Medeama begun the group stage campaign of the competition with a defeat to Al Ahly SC at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo and will have to tame CR Belouizdad in Kumasi.
