Frederick Acheampong threatens legal action against Ransford Osei over $20K 'fraud' allegations

Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Frederick Acheampong has threatened to sue former Ghana U-20 skipper Ransford Osei over $20,000 fraud allegations.

Osei made a serious allegation against the enterprising football administrator for taking $20,000 from him with the assurance of a spot in the Black Stars squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

According to Ransford Osei, Frederick Acheampong advised him to use money to influence some higher personalities in the Ghanaian football leadership to get a place in the Ghana squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but that promised was never fulfilled despite complying and transferring $20,000 to the renowned sports journalist.

Recounting the events, Ransford Osei who formerly played for Asante Kotoko, expressed deep disappointment, stating, “He did something that really hurt me. It hit my soul; that is why I am saying this. He ended my career,” in an interview with Doc Royal Sports.

But Frederick Acheampong has responded to the allegations, denying that he never received any funds from Ransford Osei, daring the former Asante Kotoko striker to provide evidence of the transactions.

The Kessben FM sports journalist has threatened to sue Ransford Osei if he fails to provide evidence to his claims.
