Tariq Lamptey returns to training after injury layoff

Ghana defender, Tariq Lamptey has returned to training for Brighton and Hove Albion after several weeks at the treatment room.

Lamptey was involved in Brighton training session for upcoming league fixture against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The versatile defender sustained an injury during Brighton and Hove Albion game against Marseille in the UEFA Europa League in October.

He missed several games for Brighton and Ghana’s two friendly matches against Mexico and USA in October as well as 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.

His return comes as huge boost for Brighton and Hove Albion and Ghana as he is considered as important player for both teams.

Ghana is preparing for the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast in January and the availability of Tariq Lamptey will be of huge importance to the West African country.
