Aston Villa considering a move for Inaki Williams

English Premier League side, Aston Villa are considering a move for Athletic Bilbao attacker Inaki Williams in the January transfer window.

The 29-year old has become a transfer target for Aston Villa following his impressive form for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Laliga this season.

Williams has scored five goals for Bilbao in the Laliga, with three assists to his credit after 13 matches this season.

The Ghana international has been an influential member of the Athletic Bilbao squad since his debut in 2015. He recently joined the club’s top twenty all-time scorers with 91 goals after 394 appearances, equaling the legendary Cuco Ziganda’s goals tally for the club.

His contract with Athletic Bilbao will expire in the summer of 2028 with Football Insider reporting that the Villains are willing to secure his signature to strengthen their attack.

Just few days ago, Inaki Williams scored his debut goal for Ghana against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Kumasi.

Before netting his debut Black Stars goal, Williams had gone ten matches without finding the back of the net for Ghana after switching nationality in 2022.
