CAF Champions League: Medeama trio return from Black Stars camp for Al Ahly clash

 

Medeama SC trio of Nurudeen Abdulai, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Jonathan Sowah have returned from Black Stars camp ahead of Al Ahly SC game in the CAF Champions League.

Medeama will face Al Ahly SC in the first game of the CAF Champions League group stage at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo on Saturday evening.

And the three players have returned from the Black Stars camp after 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros to bolster Medeama squad for the Saturday’s cracker.

The Ghana champions have scheduled to depart the country for Egypt today, November 22, 2023 with Nurudeen Abdulai, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Jonathan Sowah included in the squad for the trip.

Medeama will depart Ghana for Egypt at 1:30PM today with a 21-man squad and an 11-man technical team, including video analysts.

Kudakwashe Mahachi, the Zimbabwean forward who joined Medeama prior to the commencement of the 2023/24 league season is also expected to join the team’s squad for the trip to Egypt.

Al Ahly SC are the defending champions and record-winners of the CAF Champions League while this is the first time Medeama will be playing in the group stage of the competition.

Medeama secured a ticket to the group stage of the CAF Champions League after eliminating Guinean giants Horoya AC in the final round of the preliminary stage.
