Chris Hughton names Ghana lineup for Comoros clash; Andre Ayew starts

Ghana coach, Chris Hughton has assembled eleven players to start against Comoros in second game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this evening.

After narrowly beaten Madagascar in the first game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last Friday, Ghana is hoping to tame Comoros at the Omnisports Stadium in Moroni to go top of the Group I table.

Coach Chris Hughton has named goalkeeper Richard Ofori in posts ahead of Lawrence Ati Zigi and Jojo Wollacott.

Due to the absence of Daniel Amartey, Kassim Adams has been handed a starting berth and will partner Nicholas Opoku in the heart of defence for the Black Stars in this evening’s cracker.

Gideon Mensah will start the left-back role while Denis Odoi start at the right-back position.

Skipper Andre Ayew has been handed a starting berth after missing the last fixture against Madagascar in Kumasi.
