Bofoakwa Tano FC fan arrested for assaulting coach Maxwell Konadu granted bail

Sunyani-based Sompa FM is reporting that Bofoakwa Tano FC fan who was arrested by the police for attacking Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu has been granted bail.

The suspect, Seidu Musah popularly known as Gaswan was arrested by the Ghana Police Service on Monday, November 20 for assaulting coach Maxwell Konadu after a league game between Nsoatreman FC and Bofoakwa Tano FC at the Coronation Park in Sunyani last weekend.

The game ended in a goalless with coach Maxwell Konadu beaten to pulp by two Bofoakwa Tano FC fans after the game.

According to the report, Seidu Musah has been granted bail by the Sunyani Circuit Court after less than twelve hours at the Police custody.

He will continue to assist the police in their investigation while efforts are still ongoing to get the other suspect arrested to face justice.

Coach Maxwell Konadu has been discharged from the hospital after the assault on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has placed a temporary ban on Bofoakwa Tano FC from using the Coronation Park as home venue for subsequent league matches until further notice.
