2026 FIFA WCQ: Black Stars probable lineup against Comoros in Moroni

Ghana will face Comoros in second fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Omnisports Stadium in Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

The Black Stars go into the game the determination to secure all three maximum points to go top of the group table.

Ghana won the first game against Madagascar with a 1:0 score-line at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi with Inaki Williams scoring the only goal.

Comoros on the other hand will host the Black Stars with high confidence, having beaten Chad in their first game of the qualifiers.

Kickoff time for the game is 4:00PM local time.

Below could be Black Stars probable lineup for the game;

GK: Richard Ofori

Ofori was impressive against Madagascar in the first game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, and looks favorite to start in posts ahead of Lawrence Ati Zigi and Jojo Wollacott.

The experience goalkeeper participated in the Black Stars final training session at the Omnisports Stadium on Monday.

CB: Kassim Adams

Due to the injury situation of Daniel Amartey, Kassim Adams might step in for Ghana.

The lanky defender gave an enthralling performance during the first game against Madagascar after coming into the game as substitute in the 63rd minute for Daniel Amartey.

CB: Nicholas Opoku

The Amiens defender was incredible in the first game against Madagascar and might be the leader at defense for Ghana following the injury situation of Daniel Amartey.

Opoku played ninety minutes for Ghana, had a solid partnership with Daniel Amartey and Kassim Adams.

RB: Denis Odoi

Odoi might start the Comoros game ahead of Alidu Seidu after impressing in the game against Madagascar.

Even though Alidu Seidu started against Madagascar at the right-back position, the introduction of Odoi changed the game especially when Ghana is attacking.

The Club Brugge right-back gave an explosive performance against Madagascar and might start today’s game against Comoros.

LB: Gideon Mensah

Mensah looks favorite to start the left-back position for Ghana against Comoros.

He was incredible against Madagascar and assisted the only goal in that game with a sumptuous cross that found the head of Inaki Williams.

Following that amazing display against Madagascar, Gideon Mensah might be given the starting berth against Comoros ahead of Medeama SC defender Abdul Fatawu Hamidu.

DM: Abdul Salis Samed

Salis had a not too impressive first half against Madagascar but came in stronger during the second half.

The Lens talisman might start as the defensive midfielder for the Black Stars against Comoros despite the presence of Baba Iddrisu and Edmund Addo.

CM: Majeed Ashmeru

Ashmeru was incredible against Madagascar despite starting the game from the bench.

He initiated attacks very well, bossing the midfield. With that performances, it is likely that Ashmeru will start against Comoros.

LW: Jordan Ayew

Ayew might start the game the left-wing position against Comoros. He played same role against Madagascar last weekend and he was a delight to watch.

The Crystal Palace attacker participated in Black Stars final training session at the Omnisports Stadium which means he is ready for the game.

RW: Inaki Williams

Inaki Williams might start on the right-wing for Ghana, same position he played against Madagascar in Kumasi.

The match against Madagascar was his best game for Ghana since switching nationality in 2022.

Coach Chris Hughton is highly expected to deploy Inaki at same position against Comoros this evening.

AM: Mohammed Kudus

Kudus might start against Comoros as an attacking midfielder just behind the center forward.

Kudus is expected to be given a free role just like against Madagascar.

CF: Antoine Semenyo

Semenyo might start the game as the center forward with Mohammed Kudus just behind him.

He had not too impressive performance against Madagascar but his presence in attack send shivers down the spines of defenders.

Semenyo is expected to press the Comoros defenders with his energy.

Below is the likely eleven;

GK: Richard Ofori (c)
Gideon Mensah
Denis Odoi
Kassim Adams
Nicholas Opoku
Abdul Salis Samed
Majeed Ashmeru
Jordan Ayew
Inaki Williams
Mohammed Kudus
