Sporting Casablanca beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies on penalty shootouts to reach final

Moroccan side Sporting Casablanca emerged victorious in an enthralling semifinal fixture against Ampem Darkoa Ladies on Wednesdays, November 15.

The epic encounter ended 2:2 in regulation time with penalty shootouts as the only solution to separate the two sides of which Sporting Casablanca won by 3:2.

Comfort Yeboah shot Ampem Darkoa Ladies to the lead from the spot in just five minutes into the game. This was after a Sporting Casablanca defender mistakenly touched the ball.

Unfortunately, Comfort Yeboah snatched the parity for Sporting Casablanca with an own goal in the 32nd minute.

Six minutes after the own goal, Jennifer Owusuaa brought Ampem Darkoa Ladies to the lead again with a sumptuous strike.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies ended the first half as the winners with a 2:1 score-line.

Sporting Casablanca returned from the recess to start pilling pressure on the Ghanaian champions until Agueissa Diarra restored the parity from the spot in the 55th minute.

The ninety minutes ended with both sides scoring two goals each and had to play thirty minutes of extra time.

After thirty minutes of end-to-end action, both teams failed to score again and had to be separated via penalty shootouts where Sporting Casablanca managed to win by 3:2.

The final game will be Sporting Casablanca against Mamelodi Sundowns from South who defeated Moroccan giant AS FAR in the first semifinal fixture.

Sporting Casablanca will face Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa in the final.
