The Black Stars have landed in Kumasi for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, November 17, 2023.

The Black Stars contingent arrived in the Ashanti Regional capital on Tuesday afternoon to continue preparations for the crucial game.

Coach Chris Hughton and his charges will hold their first training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Ghana Football Association, the Tuesday and Wednesday’s training sessions will be behind closed doors.

Getsportsgh.com understands all 25 players invited by coach Chris Hughton have arrived at the Black Stars including Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Nurudeen Abdulai who had late call-ups as replacements for Kamaldeen Sulemana and Abdul Mumin.

Kamaldeen Sulemana and Abdul Mumin have pulled out of the Black Stars squad due to injury setbacks.

Notable among the players currently in camp include Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Denis Odoi, Daniel Amartey, Ernest Nuamah, Richard Ofori, Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu, Baba Iddrisu, Joseph Paintsil, Edmund Addo, Jonathan Sowah, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Nurudeen Abdulai, Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo.

Others are Jojo Wollacott, Majeed Ashmeru, Osman Bukari and Nicholas Opoku.

After the game, the Black Stars will fly to Moroni for the second game against Comoros on Tuesday, November 21,2023.
