Construction of Hearts of Oak stadium to start soon - Nyaho-Tamakloe

Plans are underway to begin the construction of Hearts of Oak stadium says Senior Board Member of the club Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe.

According to Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, the Hearts of Oak leadership are in search of a land to build the stadium.

“We have in mind of building the Hearts of Oak stadium and very soon that project will start. We are only looking for a place that will be convenient for everyone”, he said.

The Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV made the revelation some months ago, stating that it will be a 25,000 capacity edifice.

He indicated that, the stadium project will kickstart once the club’s ultramodern Pobiman training complex is completed.

Togbe Afede explained that having a stadium is part of the requirements by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to participate in the upcoming African Super League.

The highly-revered businessman added that the club is already looking for a land, where the stadium will be built.

“After the Pobiman is done, the only thing we don’t have is a big stadium,” Togbe Afede XIV said, as quoted by Joy Sports.

“CAF requires a minimum 25,000 capacity stadium. After all this, that is what we want to do. I can assure you that the board, as visionary and future-oriented as it is, has already started looking for land for that stadium. We are ticking all the boxes but it is not easy.”

Hearts of Oak have moved to their new training facility at Pobiman.

The facility has a standard-size artificial pitch. Four natural grass pitches. A large size swimming pool and other sporting facilities such as a Tennis Court. A big Golf Course and fountain and Hostel facilities.
