FLASHBACK: Dr Pambo's advice to Raphael Dwamena to quit football after a heart attack

Ghanaians were hit with the pessimistic demise of footballer Raphael Dwamena on a scorching Saturday afternoon.

The 28-year old suffered a heart attack and subsequently passed out during a league game in Albania.

Dwamena has been battling heart problems since 2017. He nearly lost in 2021 during his time with Austrian side Linz after collapsing on the field.

It during that time that renowned medical practitioner Dr Prince Pambo advised the talented goal poacher to call it a quit with football due to his heart condition but the footballer failed to heed to the advise of the astute sports physician.

Two years after failing to heed to the advice, Raphael Dwamena has passed on during KF Egnatia game against FK Partizani in the Albanian Super Cup.

The former FC Zurich attacker suffered the heart attack in the 24th minute of the match, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
