Inaki Williams enters Athletic Bilbao's all-time scorers chart

Ghana forward, Inaki Williams has joined the Athletic Bilbao’s all-time top twenty scorers chart after his goal last Sunday.

The 29-year old was on target when Athletic Bilbao defeated Villarreal in the Spanish Laliga on Sunday.

It was his 91st goal for the Basque side since making his debut in 2014.

Inaki Williams has now joined club legend Cuco Ziganda with 91 goals, joining Athletic Bilbao’s top 20 all-time scorers chart with Telmo Zarra leading with 251 goals.

This comes as a remarkable achievement for the Ghana international who has spent all his professional career at Athletic Bilbao.

Williams has been able to achieve such feat through hard work, dedication and commitment to Athletic Bilbao, serving as inspiration to young footballers in the Basque region.

He is expected to build on this incredible achievement to start banging in the goals for Ghana after finding it difficult to score for the Black Stars since switching nationality in 2022.

Despite his magnificent form for Athletic Bilbao, Inaki Williams has been struggling to replicate same form for Ghana after playing over ten matches for the West African country.

Ghanaians will count on him to deliver during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros this month.
