No need to panic - Dasoberi urges Asante Kotoko fans

Asante Kotoko management member, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi has entreated the fans of the club to stay calm in the team’s difficult moment.

The Porcupine Warriors have had a difficult start to the season, failing to record a victory in their last four matches.

The performance of the team has left most Asante Kotoko fans worried with some calling for the sack of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The situation even escalated when Asante Kotoko shockingly lost to Dreams FC at home in week nine of the Ghana Premier League last weekend.

Kotoko were beaten 1:0 by Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi with teenage midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah scoring the only goal from a sublime free-kick.

Just after the game, Asante Kotoko fans booed the players and officials of the club as a way of expressing their dissatisfaction with the performance of the team.

And with the fans worried, Newton Dasoberi believes Asante Kotoko will come good with time, entreating the supporters to keep rallying behind the team.

“We believe in the coach, and the supporters should trust the process. Last season, Medeama was in 14th place at this stage, just as we are now, so there’s no need to panic,” stated the former GFA worker on Wednesday, as reported by GhanaSportspage.

Asante Kotoko currently sit at the 14th position on the league log with just ten points after nine matches and will play their next game against FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in Samreboi this weekend.
