Djiku, two others excluded from Ghana squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Fernabache defender, Alexander Djiku has once again been left out of Ghana squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

The central defender was excluded from the Black Stars squad against Mexico and USA friendlies last month after sustaining an injury while playing for the Turkish side.

In his absence, Ghana will have to rely on other options like Kassim Adams, Nicholas Opoku and Daniel Amartey.

Also missing out of the squad is midfielder Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

The two were part of the Black Stars squad during the October international break where Ghana played against Mexico and USA.

Both Partey and Manaf Nurudeen have been excluded due to injuries.

Ghana will host Madagascar on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium before facing Comoros in Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
