Medeama SC forward, Kudakwashe Mahachi has revealed that the mentality of his teammates is to retain the Ghana Premier League title.

Medeama were crowned champions of the Ghanaian top-flight league last season, which was the first league title in the club’s history.

And despite slow start to the ongoing season, Kudakwashe Mahachi who has just played a game for Medeama this season has said the intention of his teammates is to retain the title.

Speaking to the Medeama media team, the Zimbabwe star who joined the Tarkwa-based club prior to the commencement of the 2023/24 league season said, “just like I’ve said, as a foreigner, you need to deliver so I am not putting myself under pressure.

“I believe my team can do anything we want to do because we’re winning games. Our mentality is to maintain our league title. I respect my teammates, I respect my coaches, I respect everyone in Medeama so if the coaches decide to put me on the bench, there is nothing that I can say!”

Medeama SC will face Nsoatreman FC in a league game at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The Mauve and Yellows currently sit sixth on the Ghana Premier League log with thirteen points after eight matches..
