Keep supporting us - Ogum begs Asante Kotoko fans

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has entreated the fans of the club to rally behind them after their painful defeat to Dreams FC on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 0:1 by Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah scoring the only goal of the game.

The teenage midfielder scored the game through a brilliant free-kick in the 39th minute to secure Dreams FC their first-ever victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Speaking after the game, Prosper Narteh Ogum who was disappointed with the result indicated that “our finishing cost us in the game.”

Asante Kotoko are now winless in their last four matches, a situation that has left most fans worried with Narteh Ogum also disappointed with the team’s recent performance.

“Automatically, it is not good. If you don’t win, the feeling is bad.”

He urged the fans to continue supporting the team, emphasizing, “It is a league. They should still support the team. We will work harder and make them proud.”

Asante Kotoko are now languishing at the 14th position on the Ghana Premier League table  with ten points after nine matches.

The Porcupines will travel to Samreboi for week ten fixture against FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex this weekend.
