CAF Women's Champions League: We came for the title - Ampem Darkoa Ladies coach

Ampem Darkoa Ladies head coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa is optimistic his outfit will emerge champions of this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies are participating in the competition for the first time after winning the WAFU Zone B qualifiers.

The reigning Ghana Women’s Premier League champions will play their first group stage game against AS FAR from Morocco on Monday at the Stade de Laurent Pokou in San Pedro. The match is scheduled to commence at 5 pm.

Speaking at a press conference, Joe Nana Adarkwa acknowledged the challenge presented by the defending champions of the competition but confidently stated that his team is fully prepared to match any team squarely to win the competition.

“We came here purposely for the cup. Our preparation is going on very well so we are ready for the tournament.

“We have two teams who have national team players so it is going to be a tough game. We are going to work towards that and see how we are going to approach the game in our training. In Sha Allah, definitely we are going to win the match.”
