Asamoah Gyan breaks silence on marriage annulment ruling

Ghanaian football legend, Asamoah Gyan has finally reacted to the court ruling on annulment of his marriage to Sandra Gifty Gyamesi.

Gyan filed for annulment of his marriage to Gifty at the Accra High Court about five years ago, questioning the paternity of their kids and asking for a DNA test on all of their three children.

And after five years of legal tussle, it has come to light that Gifty Gyamesi was legally married to another man before her marriage to Asamoah Gyan in 2013, but the football icon is the father of their three children after a DNA tests were carried out.

In a verdict on Tuesday, October 31, the court directed Asamoah Gyan to settle his former wife with their UK mansion and a four-bedroom apartment at Spintex in Accra.

The court also adjudicated that two vehicles owned by his former wife and a land designated for construction of a filling station be handed over to Gifty among other financial obligations.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, Asamoah Gyan expressed his satisfaction with the verdict, stating that he is pleased that the truth has finally prevailed after five years of fierce legal battle.

The legendary striker indicated that he has no regret marrying his former wife whom he had three kids with namely Rafael Gyan, Frederick Gyan and Floyd Gyan.

He revealed that before heading to court, he conducted a thorough investigation on his former wife and the court’s ruling confirmed the grounds for seeking annulment of the marriage.
