Kotoko under pressure after Bechem United draw - Sheriff Mohammed

Asante Kotoko defender, Sheriff Mohammed has said the one-all stalemate against Bechem United at home last weekend has put pressure on the team.

The Porcupine Warriors were held to a 1:1 stalemate at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last Sunday despite dominating the first forty-five minutes of the crucial encounter.

It was youngster Peter Amidu Acquah who broke the deadlock for Asante Kotoko before Augustine Okrah bagged the equalizer in the second half with a beautiful header.

Asante Kotoko will face Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Sports Complex in week eight of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday, November 2 with Sheriff Mohammed optimistic his side will win the match to make amends.

“Drawing against Bechem United puts pressure on us. We travel to face Nsoatreman in our next Ghana Premier League game and we have no excuse than to win the match on Thursday” he said.
