Black Queens secure first leg win over Benin

The Black Queens of Ghana secured a 0:3 win over their counterparts from Benin in the first leg of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers in Cotonou on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Goals from Doris Boaduwaa and Gifty Assifuah ensured the Black Queens return to Ghana with a 3:0 advantage.

Doris Boaduwaa shot Ghana to the lead in the 44th minute from the spot before the first half break.

Ghana returned from the recess to score two more goals with Gifty Assifuah netting all the goals in the 73rd and 78th minute respectively.

Coach Nora Häuptle and her charges will return to Ghana to prepare for the reverse fixture scheduled to be held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
