Mohammed Kudus' agent reveals why Chelsea move broke down


Jane Mendelewitsch, the agent of Mohammed Kudus has explained why the Ghana international had his move to Chelsea collapsed in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year old was heavily linked to Chelsea in the summer transfer window but ended up joining West Ham United from Ajax FC.

It is believed that Chelsea submitted €30million to Ajax FC for Mohammed Kudus after agreeing personal terms but the offer was below his asking price.

He eventually ended up signing for West Ham United on a fee in the region of €38million.

Explaining why Mohammed Kudus move to Chelsea broke down, Jane Mendelewitsch affirmed that there was a personal agreement but Chelsea failed to meet the asking price.

She told RMC Radio that Chelsea were more obsessed with Moises Caceido deal hence the reason why the London-based club failed to meet Ajax FC asking price for her client.

“The truth is that Chelsea were completely focused on the transfer of Caicedo, which took all their energy. Kudus had agreed terms with Chelsea but they kept on submitting low bids,” she told RMC radio.
