We have no striker - Hearts of Oak coach Koopman

Hearts of Oak gaffer Martin Koopman has expressed his disappointment about the performance of the team’s attackers in the ongoing league season.

This comes after Hearts of Oak drew goalless with Dreams FC in week four of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking after the game, Koopman stated that Hearts of Oak are not winning matches as expected due to the poor outputs of the attackers.

The Dutch trainer believes Hearts of Oak lack the presence of a goal poacher despite having the likes of Kashala Ramos Wanet and other attackers in the team.

“We did a very good job but I tell you we don’t have a striker and Issah [Kuka] has left for abroad and we have no striker and I tell them every time. We missed a striker”, Koopman told StarTimes.

On why he substituted Kashala Ramos, Koopman said “Do you think Kashala was good. No.

“He was not good playing and the next one who is going in is Hamza Issah. A young player with a lot of talent and he fights, so Hamza Issah is the next option and that is why”, he added.
