Asante Kotoko technical director, James Kwesi Appiah has been elected onto the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The elections held in Tamale on Thursday, October 5 saw the former Black Stars coach amassing ten votes to win a slot on the Executive Council.

Kwesi Appiah will be part of the Executive Council of the country’s football association as a premier league representative.

In all five slots are available for premier league representatives on the Executive Council with coach Kwesi Appiah winning one of the slots.

Frederick Acheampong, Randy Abbey and Oduro Sarfo have also been elected onto the Executive Council with Elloeny Amande and Kingsley Osei Bonsu to go for another round of contest after pulling same number of votes.

Randy Abbey – 12 votes

Frederick Acheampong – 11 votes

James Kwesi Appiah – 10 votes

Oduro Sarfo – 10 votes

Elloeny Amande – 9 votes

Kingsley Osei Bonsu – 9 votes

Edmund Ackah – 8 votes

Dr Tony Augbyn – 7 votes

Raphael Gyambrah – 7 votes
