UEFA Champions League: Thomas Partey included in Arsenal’s squad for Lens clash

Ghana’s Thomas Partey has been included in Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League travelling squad to France for their clash against RC Lens in the second group games in the 2023-2024 season.

The return of the versatile midfielder comes on the back of his sideline due to reported groin injury he sustained.

Partey absent saw him missed six important matches including Manchester United, Brentford, Tottenham, Everton, Bournemouth, and PSV Eindhoven.

His last game for the London club dated August 26, 2023, when they drew 2-2 with Fulham at the Emirates stadium.

RC Lens will host the former Premier League champions in tonight’s game that kicks off at 19:00 GMT at the Stade Balloaert-Delelis.

Partey, has however, returned from the injury after recovering and has been included in Mikel Arteta’s midfield options for the French encounter.

Arsenal marked its return to the Champions League after six years with a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in their first group game at the Emirate Stadium with the Ghanaian international missing the tie.
