Medeama’s TNA stadium to be commission in November

Medeama SC have been given a sigh of relief as its favorite home grounds is set to be commission ahead of its group stage participation in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.

According to officials of the Ghanaian champions, the new TNA stadium which is under construction will be completed and ready for use in November.

This was disclosed in a press conference on Monday, October 2, 2023, by the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker, who form parts of various committee for the team’s continental showpiece.

Speaking at the presser, the MP who doubles as the deputy Lands and Natural Resources minister stated that the club will commission the 10,000-seater capacity stadium by the end of next month November.

“We will be commissioning our stadium also by November ending and we are using this platform to invite you to Tarkwa. By the grace of God, we shall play our first match of the group stage in Tarkwa,” Mr. Duker indicated.

The Ghana Premier League champions qualified for the group stage of the tournament following a 4-3 aggregate scoreline against Guinean side, Horoya AC.

Following the unavailability of the TNA stadium, the Yellow and Mauve side played their home games of the qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium [against Remo Stars and Horoya AC].

They will thus be hoping construction works on the stadium progresses steadily amid hosting their home matches at the new TNA stadium situated at Abooso – a suburb of Tarkwa.
