Legon Cities maintain home invincibility with win over Aduana Stars

Legon Cities FC managed a 2:1 victory against Aduana Stars in week three of the Ghana Premier League at the El Wak Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Goals from Nicholas Mensah and Samuel Armah ensured Legon Cities FC secured all three points against Aduana with Isaac Mintah pulling the consolation.

Prior to the game, Legon Cities FC have suffered a narrow defeat to Accra Lions while Aduana Stars had beaten defending champions Medeama in Dormaa.

Nicholas Mensah shot Legon Cities FC to the lead in just nine minutes into the game with Nasiru Moro providing the assist.

Aduana Stars came back stronger to equalise through Isaac Mintah in the 25th minute of the cagey encounter.

The first half ended in one-all stalemate.

Samuel Armah netted the winner for Legon Cities FC from the spot in the 56th minute after Frank Antwi was brought down in the penalty box.

Legon Cities FC have amassed six points after three matches in the Ghana Premier League and will travel to Nations FC next weekend while Aduana Stars will host Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa…
