He admitted however that the home side were just ‘fortunate’ with the most needful results which separated the two.

“I think we prayed well and created a few chances but in the first half I think they look stronger, tougher and harder on us. When we came in the second half I think we looked more settled we were able to connect our passes and then the few changes we also did brought some stability into the game especially upfront and that made us to create few chances, today we’ve lost but am impressed about the performance.

You could see after the whistle their heads were up… there’s nothing like a drop in confidence we look very confident, we are motivated, we came and did our best but loss,” he said at the post match conference.

Mr. Ogum added “I don’t think we disgrace our selves. we played well only that out of no where we conceded that second goal.”

Ogum used the medium and called on the Asante Kotoko fraternity to have faith in the team going forward.

“They should be hopeful,” the former WAFA boss assured.

Asante Kotoko will host Karela United at the Baba Yara Stadium in their next game.

They now have one point in a possible six points after their first two matches.
