Ghana Premier League side, Bofoakwa Tano FC have appointed Sam Jona Ampofo as the club’s new sporting director for the 2023/24 league season.

Mr Ampofo has been handed the top role to help improve the technical team of the club for the ongoing league campaign.

His appointment is also aimed at restructuring the team to compete in the Ghanaian top-flight league.

“We officially welcome Mr. Sam Jona Ampofo as our Sporting Director. He comes into our energetic management with immense experience and valuable technicalities regarding the game of Football. WELCOME,” a post on the Twitter page of the club said.

Bofoakwa Tano FC have made a return to the Ghana Premier League after sixteen years of absence.

The Sunyani-based club defeated Techiman Eleven Wonders in the division one league playoff via penalty shootouts to secure a ticket to the Ghana Premier League.

Bofoakwa Tano FC have already commenced their campaign in the Ghana Premier League on a good note after drawing goalless against Great Olympics in week one.

The team will continue with a home match against Real Tamale United next weekend…
