Performance of Ghanaian players abroad

It was a weekend full of action across the globe with some Ghanaian footballers hoisting the flag of Ghana higher with incredible performances.

Without wasting much time, let’s go straight to the performances of some Ghanaian players abroad.


Defender Jarell Quansah played 83 minutes for Liverpool against Wolves in the English Premier League. Quansah was incredible as Liverpool won the game 1:3.

Jordan Ayew lasted only 23 minutes as Crystal Palace lost 3:1 to Aston Villa but Jeffrey Schlupp played full throttle for Palace in same game.

Tariq Lamptey won the man-of-the-match award as his brace of assist secured Brighton 1:3 victory against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

Kudus Mohammed came in the 63rd minute for West Ham United as they lost 1:3 at home to Manchester City.

Despite an incredible performance for Ghana during the international break, Antoine Semenyo was an unused substitute in AFC Bournemouth goalless draw with Chelsea.

Thomas Partey was not included in Arsenal squad for Everton clash due to injury.

In the English Championship, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku came off the bench for Leicester City as they hammered Southampton by 4:1.

In same game , Kamaldeen Sulemana was shown the red card for a bad tackle.


After returning from the international break, Inaki Williams managed to score for Athletic Club to beat Cadiz by 3:0.

Joseph Aidoo sat at the bench for Celta Vigo throughout the ninety minutes against Real Mallorca.

Baba Iddrisu came in the 75th minute as Almeria lost narrowly to Villarreal.


Caleb Ekuban was an unused substitute in Genoa’s 2:2 draw against defending league champions Napoli.

Alfred Duncan provided an assist for Fiorentina in their 2:2 draw against Atalanta.


Christian Antwi-Adjei came in the 63rd minute as Bochum drew 1:1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.


Abdul Samed Salis played full throttle as Lens lost narrowly to FC Metz.

Mohammed Salisu was not part of Monaco squad that played against Lorient due to injury.

Alidu Seidu played full-time in Clermont Foot 0:1 lost to Nantes.

Ernest Nuamah played 77 minutes in Lyon’ 0:0 against Le Havre.


Joseph Attamah lasted the full throttle for Kayserispor as they defeated Gaziantep 2:0.

Former Bechem United midfielder Yaw Ackah also played ninety minutes in same game.

Alexander Djiku came in the 90th minute in Fernabache 3:2 victory over Antalyaspor.


Joseph Paintsil provided an assist in Genk 2:0 win over Union St Gilloise.

Dennis Odoi came in the 90th minute in Club Brugge 4:2 victory over Sporting Charlteroi.

Kamal Sowah netted in his Standard Liege debut against Eupen. The game ended 3:1 for Standard Liege.


Patrick Agyemang came in the 70th minute in Charlotte FC 0:0 draw against DC United.
