Asante Kotoko has neglected me – Injured striker alleges

Former striker of Asante Kotoko, Ibrahim Osman has accused the club for neglecting him after sustaining injury whiles at the club.

According to the talented goal poacher all efforts to reach out immediate past CEO of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah has prove futile.

Osman alleged that the latter has blocked his attempts to reach out for assistance.

The 24-year-old made this disclosure in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM on Thursday September 14, 2023.

Ibrahim Osman whose contract with the Porcupine Warriors ended in June 2023, has been battling with the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury for over a year leaving him clubless.

This was after he had returned to Asante Kotoko in August 2022, following a loan spell at King Faisal with the injury.

Expressing his ordeal about the situation, the player said all attempt made to court the attention of the club for assistance has failed to materialize.

“I was neglected by Nana Yaw Amponsah and his management; he refused to answer my calls, and now my contract with the club has expired. I’m pleading with GFA to help me with my surgery.

“I have been home for more than a year without playing football, and I will need GHC40,000 for my surgery,” says Ibrahim Osman.

With the situation rendering him helpless, he used the medium and called on the Ghana Football Association to come to his aid.

“I’m pleading with GFA to help me with my surgery,” he added.
