Medeama defender Abdul Fatawu Hamidu has made his debut for Ghana in a friendly encounter against Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Hamidu was handed a late invitation to the Black Stars after Abdul Baba Rahman sustained an injury in 2023 AFCON qualifier against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last Thursday.

He has been instrumental for Medeama SC since joining the Tarkwa-based club.

Fatawu played a pivotal role in Medeama league triumph last season.
