French striker snubs Hearts of Oak for Legon Cities FC

Bombelenga signs for Legon Cities FC

Legon Cities FC have been been able to leapfrogged Hearts of Oak to the signing of French forward Stephane Ernest Bombelenga.

According to local football transfer journalist Mohammed Shaban, Bombelenga has signed a two-year deal for Legon Cities FC after fruitful negotiations.

The 25-year old was reported in the local media to have reached an agreement with Hearts of Oak and was expected to undergo medical only for Mohammed Shaban to report that the former Ipswich Town attacker has signed for Legon Cities FC.

It is believed that Hearts of Oak technical director Rene Hiddink wanted Bombelenga to join the club in a bid to strengthen squad for the forthcoming league season.

He has joined Legon Cities FC to strengthen the team’s attack for the 2023/24 league season.

Ernest Bombelenga last played for UK-based Eastbourne Borough in the National League South which is the sixth-tier of English football.

He has previously played for Gosport Borough FC, East Grinstead Athletic, Metropolitan FC, Welling United, and Ipswich Town all in England.

The French footballer also had a short spell at The Sportis Social FC Łochowo in Poland.
