Legon Cities snatch Hearts of Oak defender

Accra-based Ghana Premier League participant, Legon Cities has snatched Hearts of Oak defender Zakaria Yakubu on loan.

The ‘Royals’ captures the signature of the highly-rated defender after the conclusion of all discussions and paper works.

Zakaria, having had a disappointed spell with the Phobians after joining them will seek to use the Legon Cities platform to rediscover his form.

He joined Hearts of Oak from Division One League side All Blacks in August 2022 however his potentials were not enough to the likened of the club’s technical team.

Zakaria Yakubu who arrived with high expectations subsequently relegated to a bench warmer and enjoyed only limited playing time at the Accra-based club.

The defender will be hopeful to chance on the Legon Cities platform under coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and redefine his qualities at his disposable.

He become the latest player from the Heart’s of Oak ranks after Benjamin Yorke to be loaned by the club.
