2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Twenty-three players reported to camp; check list

At least twenty-three players of the Black Stars have reported to camp in Accra as Ghana hit the ground running for the all-important Africa Cup of Nations Group E clash against Central African Republic.

The team having opened camping at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 4, 2023, commenced preparations ahead of Thursday’s epic clast against CAR.

The Black Stars will travel to Kumasi today, Tuesday, to intensify their training for the match.

 

 

With the 25-man squad invited for the tie, South Africa-based Richard Ofori and Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew are the only two players who are yet to report to camp.

The twenty-three players in camp so far include Lawrence Ati Zigi, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Alidu Seidu, Kingsley Schindler, Stephan Ambrosius, Joseph Aidoo, Alexander Djiku, Nicholas Opoku, Baba Abdul Rahman, and Gideon Mensah

Abdul Samed-Salis, Baba Iddrisu, Edmund Addo, Andre Ayew, Elisha Owusu, Mohammed Kudus, and Ransford Konigsdorffer.

The rest are Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, Osman Bukari, Joseph Painstil, Jonathan Sowah.

The team will train at the Baba Yara Sports stadium at 4pm today when they arrived in the Ashanti Regional capital.

 

Ghana tops their Group E table with 9 points from 5 games having won two and drawn three games in the Group.
