Micheal Dwamena: Kotoko has been part of my dream growing up

Kumasi Asante Kotoko new signing Michael Kyei Dwamena has expressed his excitement for joining the Kumasi-based club.

According to the central midfielder, playing for the reds has always been part of his dream growing up as a footballer.

The 23-year-old former Wa Suntaa midfielder made this known to the club’s website after completing his move to the club on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

He signed for Kotoko from the West African Football Academy (WAFA) on a three-year contract that will run until 2026.

“Playing for Asante Kotoko has always been part of my dream growing up,” Dwamena said after the conclusion of his move.

He also heap praises on the head coach of the club Prosper Narteh Ogum and indicated the gaffer influence his move.

“Moreover, the coach [Prosper Narteh Ogum] is someone I have worked with before, and his understanding of the game excites me a lot, and I am confident that together, we can achieve something great here,” he added.

Dwamena previously played for Upper West-based Wa Suntaa, before spending three seasons at the Sogakope Arena where he become an integral member of the team.
