Ernestina Abambila joins Turkish club Hakkarigucu Spor Kulubu


Ghana midfielder Ernestina Abambila has completed a move to Turkish club Hakkarigucu Spor Kulubu.

The 24-year old has signed a one-year deal with the Blue and White after undergoing medical.

Abambila has penned down a deal with Hakkarigucu Spor Kulubu on free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Polish side UKS SMS Łódź after the end of the season.

“ERNESTINA ABAMBILA is a successful midfielder of Poland’s Sms Łódź team; she will sweat for blue and white colours. Welcome”, a statement from Hakkarigucu Spor Kulubu announcing the Black Queens midfielder reads.

The former Hasaacas Ladies talisman joins Hakkarigucu Spor Kulubu with huge experience having played for FC Minsk, Aris Thessaloniki FC, Assi IF, Sporting Club de Huelva, Medyk Konin and UKS SMS Łódź.

Abambila began her professional career after finishing university. She signed for Belarusian Premier League (women) side FC Minsk.

She became the first Ghanaian to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League when FC Minsk beat Ljubljana in the group stage of the 2017-18 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Ernestina Abambila had her FIFA debut at the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup hosted by Costa Rica in 2014. Her debut game was against North Korea that ended 2–0 to Ghana…
