Let’s put behind the past and support Togbe Afede to greatness – Dan Quaye

Legendary Hearts of Oak defender, Dan Quaye has urged his former side to rally behind the club’s Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV for greatness.

According to the ex-robust defender, the immense contributions of the traditional ruler to the team is apt.

Dan Quaye, who underscores that Togbe Afede’s handwriting on the great Oak family is unmatched believes he can achieve more with the support of the team fanbase.

He made the call in an interview with Kessben FM whiles highlighting on the transformation of Hearts Of Oak under Togbe since 2011 after becoming the majority shareholder of team.

Under his watch, the club can boast of infrastructure deficit such as the ultramodern Pobiman Complex nearing completion.

He said “I urge the fans to stand by the team through thick and thin. We should put the past behind us and cheer on the team in the upcoming season to honour Togbe Afede for his immense contributions to the club’s development.”

Justifying why Togbe Afede deserves backing to succeed, Dan Quaye said the latter has changed the narratives of infrastructure deficit in Ghana among clubs.

“Previously, it was WAFA and Ashanti Gold who had good infrastructures, but the narrative has changed due to the commendable work of Togbe Afede,” the legendary Hearts of Oak man emphasised.

He uses the platform and charge the leadership of the team supporters to ensure they honour the team’s matches in the upcoming 223/24 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians will begin their season with a trip to Tamale to play Real Tamale United in the opening day fixtures in September.
