William Dankyi to undergo Hearts of Oak medical

Former Hearts of Oak defender William Dankyi is set to undergo Bibiani Goldstars medical on Thursday, August 31, 2023, Getsportsgh.com can exclusively reveal.

Getsportsgh.com understands Dankyi will sign a two-year deal with Bibiani Goldstars after a successful medical.

The talented left-back will join the Ghana Premier League outfit on free transfer after leaving King Faisal Football Club.

The 23-year old boast of huge experience in the domestic league, having played for Liberty Professionals and Hearts of Oak.

Dankyi came to the limelight during his days at Hearts of Oak before leaving for Egypt.

As a defender, William Dankyi can also play as a midfielder. He was a member of the Hearts of Oak squad that won the Ghana Premier League title, two FA Cups under the tutelage of coach Samuel Boadu.

He played for the Ghana U-17 football team from 2012 to 2014 and was a member of the squad that played in the 2013 African U-17 Championship.

Dankyi was later promoted to the Ghana U-20 team featuring for 2016 to 2018. He was given his first call up in 2016, ahead of the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He became a member of the squad that played in the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers, Ghana subsequently qualified for the main competition after scoring Algeria.

In November, 2019, William Dankyi was selected to be part of the Ghana U-23 football team ahead of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
