OFFICIAL: Asante Kotoko sign 17-year old wonder-kid Bernard Somuah

Bernard Somuah joins Asante Kotoko

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have announced the acquisition of highly-rated teenager Bernard Somuah.

The 17-year old has signed a three-year deal with Asante Kotoko after passing a mandatory medical on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Somuah gained the attention of Asante Kotoko following his scintillating display in the team’s pre-season friendlies.

He has been training with Asante Kotoko for weeks, scoring three three goals in his three of the club’s pre-season matches.

The Afigya Liberty talisman has become an instant fans favorite in the three pre-season games that he has played.

Asante Kotoko sign this teen sensation

Somuah scored 22 goals last season for his former club in the lower-tier league.

He has become the latest addition to the Asante Kotoko squad after Yahaya Dawuni, Nanabayin Amoah, Andrews Ntim Manu, Samuel Asamoah, Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed, Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara.

And with the signing of Bernard Somuah completed, Asante Kotoko are also expected to announce the acquisition of former King Faisal Football Club midfielder Baba Yahaya.

Yahaya has been training with Asante Kotoko for weeks after his contract with King Faisal Football Club expired after the 2022/23 league season.
