Great Olympics defender Abdul Bashiru is close to joining Karela United.

Getsportsgh.com can report that Bashiru has agreed a three-year deal with Karela United after thorough discussion.

The budding left-back is expected to complete the deal before the transfer window close on Friday, September 1, 2023.

Karela United likely to play 2023/24 season in Tamale

Bashiru boast of enough experience in the domestic league, having played for Dreams FC and AshantiGold SC.

He had an impressive campaign with Great Olympics last season and has decided to join Karela United who have changed ownership.

Ghanaian legislator Haruna Iddrisu is currently the majority shareholder of Karela United.

It is believed that the former minority leader in parliament is considering of moving the club from Aiyinase to Tamale after their favorite CAM Park was rejected by the GFA Club Licensing Board.
