Memunatu Sulemana represented Ghana at 3 FIFA World Cups

The dire condition of ex-Black Queens goalkeeper, Memunatu Sulemana, can now be termed as a thing of the past after former stateman John Dramani Mahama came to her aid.

Mr. Mahama, having learned of the poor state of the former national team player in which she lives did not hesitate to provide Memunatu with the requisite support.

The former Black Queens stopper recently came into the news after her interview with the media surface online where she was seen living in deplorable wooden structure also known as ‘Kiosk.’

In the heart-breaking interview, she observed the struggles she goes through before making ends meet.

John Dramani Mahama, in a swift response, has exhibited his humanitarian gesture to Memunatu Sulemana to improve upon her conditions of living.

According to multiple reports, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 general election has fully furnished a one-bedroom apartment for Memunatu Sulemana.

The apartment, per Daily Post, is situated at Dansoman – a suburb of Accra and was made ready for the retired footballer on Monday, August 28, 2023.

The former statement, aside the apartment also provided an undisclosed whooping sum of money to the renowned goalkeeper as a business capital.

Memunatu Sulemana until her appalling conditions came to light was living at Bubiashie, a suburb of Accra.

During her playing days, the 45-year-old played for Post Ladies in Ghana and Pelican Stars in the Nigerian Women Premier League.

At national level, Sulemana was part of Ghana Women’s national football team [Black Queens] that competed at the 1999, 2003 and the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cups.
