‘I can’t wait to get started at West Ham United’ – Kudus Mohammed

The Black Stars midfielder is West Ham's latest addition

Mohammed Kudus has expressed his delightfulness after signing for English Premier League side West Ham United.

According to the former Ajax attacking midfielder, he yearn for immediate start on his new journey.

Kudus signed for West Ham United from Dutch side Ajax FC in an undisclosed fee on a five-year contract. He will wear the Number 14 shirt at the club.

He was officially welcome to the club with a video on its official social media platforms on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Speaking to the clubs’ website after his announcement, Kudus Mohammed expresses his readiness to embark on the new chapter of his dream.

“I’ve been dreaming to play in a league like this since I was a kid. I’m really happy to be here. I will fight for the badge. I can’t wait to get started,” he said.

He opined that he is so happy to join the Hammers adding “I’ve been dreaming of this moment.”

According to the Black Stars player, in spite of chasing his dream to the highest peak of his football career, he aim to keep striving forward.

“I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going.

“I try my best to entertain the fans as I think that’s what football is all about. I’m just here to do my best and help the team,” said Kudus.

Head Coach of West Ham United, David Moyes, welcoming Mohammed Kudus to the club describe his addition as a plus to the premier league team.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring Mohammed to West Ham United.

The fact we’ve been able to attract a player of his undoubted quality to London Stadium shows the pull West Ham have now – the Board and Tim deserve huge credit for getting this one over the line,” said the manager.

He furthered and described the qualities of Kudus “terrific young talent, who has already shone at the very highest level for Ajax.”

Something he said justifies why so many top clubs were chasing for his signature this summer.

The former Nordsjaelland playmaker before completing his move to West Ham was chased by many clubs including Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion.
