Hearts of Oak give this duo another chance

Ghanaian football powerhouse, Hearts of Oak have rescinded their decision to offload the duo of Gideon Asante and Albert Eonde, understands.

According to reliable source, the duo were listed among the players Hearts of Oak want to offload ahead of the upcoming league season.

It is believed that the Phobians have rescinded their decision after a meeting between the management and the technical team led by Rene Hiddink and Martin Koopman.

Meanwhile, the former Ghana Premier League champions have taken a decision to offload ten players before the 2023/24 league season commence.

The offloading of the ten players forms part of Hearts of Oak squad shaping after a torrid campaign last season.

The ten players include Faisal Adam Billey, Hamza Mohammed, Benjamin Yorke, Francis Adjetey, Rashid Okine, Yassan Ouatching and Appiah Clinton.

Others include; Zakaria Yakubu , Glason Awako and Samuel Inkoom. understands the decision has been communicated to the ten players pending official announcement.

Though Hearts of Oak have decided to offload the ten players, the club have also made new additions with former Bechem United skipper Kofi Agbesimah being the latest.

Agbesimah who is a defender has joined the Phobians after undergoing a successful medical few days ago.

Hearts of Oak have already signed Michael Ampadu, Raphael Amponsah, Evans Adomako and Martin Karikari alongside Leventius Arthur and Kelvin Osei Asibey among others.

The Accra-based club have also recalled striker Issah Kuka from loan spell at RTU with Congolese striker Kashala Ramos Wanet also expected to sign a three-year deal.

The Phobians will begin the 2023/24 season of the Ghana Premier League with a trip to Tamale to face depleted RTU side at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
