Hearts of Oak ‘agree personal terms’ with this budding defender

David Oppong Afrane agrees personal terms with Hearts of Oak

After announcing the signing of Kofi Agbesimah, Hearts of Oak are close to landing another talented defender to fortify their defense for the 2023/24 league season.

In a bid to reinforce its defense, the Phobians have reportedly agreed personal terms with King Faisal Football Club defender David Oppong Afrane.

The budding center-back has been on the wanted list of Hearts of Oak in the transfer window following the departure of Konadu Yiadom, Caleb Amankwah and Robert Addo Sowah.

Per Getsportsgh.com source, the former Ghana Premier League champions have concluded a deal with the defender pending an agreement with King Faisal Football Club.

It is believed that Hearts of Oak and King Faisal could reach an agreement before the transfer window close on Friday, September 1, 2023.

Oppong Afrane was a pillar at the heart of defense for King Faisal last season despite the team’s failure to maintain its premier league status.

He was a subject of transfer for several clubs including Asante Kotoko but the defender only want Hearts of Oak with a guarantee of enough playing time.

Due to his wonderful performance for King Faisal Football Club, Oppong Afrane was selected for the Ghana U-23 squad that participated in the U-23 AFCON in Morocco.

Should negotiations materialised, David Oppong Afrane will join the list of Hearts of Oak center-backs for the upcoming season that boast of Kofi Agbesimah, Kelvin Osei Asibey and host of others.
