Dreams FC qualified on 3-2 aggregate

Dreams FC’s African campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup continues after a comeback win over Guinean outfit Milo FC in Ghana.

The Ghanian FA Cup champions produced a late comeback to progress to the next stage of the competition following a 2-1 win on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Dreams FC went into the game with last weekend’s 1-1 draw recorded far away Conakry in Guinea.

Hopeful of taking advantage of their away goal, the Ghanaian side fell to the trap of the away side in the first half.

Milo FC took the lead in the 13th minutes of the game through Seydouba Bangoura strike in the first half.

Dreams however responded late in the 83rd minutes courtesy an Agyenim Boateng spot kick to restore parity.

John Antwi added the second four minutes later to double their lead to ensured a resounding victory for the Ghanaian champions in the play-off second leg home fixture.

The results send Dreams FC through to the second round of the preliminary phase on a 3-2 aggregate.

With their qualification, they will now face Kallon FC in the second and final round qualication to the group stage.
