Ghana join race to host 2024 World Armwrestling Championship

Ghana has joined the race to host the 2024 Armwrestling Championship in Accra.

Getsportsgh.com can exclusively report that the leadership of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation led by President and Founder Charles Osei Asibey, Godsen Kwame Asem and Husseini Akuetteh Addy will be defending Ghana’s bid to host the world championship.

The trio are currently in Almaty, Kazakhstan attending World Armwrestling Federation Congress where the decision of which country will host the 2024 World Armwrestling Championship will be made.

Ghana will be facing huge challenge from Egypt after the North African country announced its readiness to host the event.

Getsportsgh.com understands Ghana’s bid is highly supported by the Youth and Sports Ministry, Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Investment Promotion Council, Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council and other institutions.
